I don’t really like the idea of Lucy and Happy also accompanying Natsu and Brandish, and them never ending story’ing out of Magnolia on a big happy just seems too never ending story-ish for me. The line from Mavis at the crystal when she’s talking to Cana about how she cares about Cana because she reminds her of Zera really does feel very forced imo, and thats a bit disappointing as well. The north seems to be the better part of the chapter, with Sabertooth joining the fight once more and us seemingly getting Gajeel vs Bradman. The north seems to be the saving grace of the chapter from what we know about it imo, so hopefully the chapter is better than what the spoilers have told us or I think I’ll be somewhat disappointed by it.

Everything considered dimaria was a complete beast and her god takeover was ridiciulously powerful even by the standards we have seen so far. Shelia is a god slayer and dimaria ended up using a takeover of the creature shelia was meant to eliminate. And even then it seems like shelia had some degree of trouble with dimaria. So another Spriggan goes down without us seeing a great fight. Here we have a lot of opportunities Mashima had to show us a fight that could become a legendary one but then he goes and screws it up by limiting Laxus with some incurable magic particles, introducing the top magicians of Fiore and make them bite the dust without even showing what they are truly capable of and now we have Ultear giving a random power-up to two little girls to defeat someone who takes down whole kingdoms. I would rather had erza and kagura coming back and help wendy and shelia against DImaria and letting Jellal go after Nineheart instead of such an ending for this fight. I don’t know but is god slaying magic as effective against god soul take-over as it is against real gods? I mean Natsu,Gajeel and co also become part dragon when they use their power and slaying magic doesn’t seem super effective against them. cause if slaying magic is super effective against take overs then Mira wouldn’t stand a chance against Gray. And we’ve also seen that even though all the DS wield the power which should be able to slay dragons none of them was even anywhere near to really do it. So why is it that the slaying magic against gods and demons is so super effective against them and for the dragons one needs to not only wield ds magic but be super strong too to even hope of slaying a dragon?

So Di Maria can use Take-Over Magic, which I think is awesome. She seems really strong to me in that form. I’d say Wendy and Chelia are quite useless against her. Maybe Di Maria will win this battle and later fight Mirajane. I’d love to see Mirajane vs. Di Maria. But if Wendy and Chelia uses Third Origin, I think they could have a chance, even though I don’t want to see Di Maria going down already. It would be great to see someone die in Fairy Tail. But knowing ft, I’m pretty sure Carla will be ressurected somehow, maybe not in next chapter, but a bit later, you know shocker like Ultear. Death of Carla could unlock some power in Wendy. But I would like to see death of Carla, not that I don’t like her, but it would make some character development in Wendy and Happy. And Sherria with her god slayer magic could do something to god soul. DiMaria was always my favourite Spriggan so I’m glad to see that she is OP. I don’t like this design of her. I know she looks badass and all, but I loved her previous look. Hope she won’t die as fast as Wahl, because I really like her character.

If a mage isn’t good against a specific kind of magic does that automatically make them weak? No. It isn’t so black and white, and we don’t know what would have happened if Natsu hadn’t gotten involved – she might have very well activated Dragon Force, but it’s obvious Mashima was using that battle to show off how strong Natsu got while using it as an excuse to bring Wendy back into the plot. Again, I’m not saying Wendy should be capable of soloing a Spriggan because not even Erza could do that, and I don’t think she’s even on par with Erza, but people definitely need to give her more credit for her past feats and she’s definitely stronger than the Twin Dragons, she has been since Tartaros. It’s been made clear that Wendy can, in fact, not only hit a Spriggan but also leave a mark on her. It doesn’t matter if Dimaria was caught off guard or not. So was Wahl, but he was fine. It was said that Chelia had more magic power than Wendy. Wendy tied with someone who was more powerful than her. That’s a feat. Keep in mind she beat that fodder easily more than a year ago before she even dreamed of using DF. Now she uses it at will. Wendy’s growth is directly linked to her power level. Her power level has grown over the years. So much so that she is considered one of FT’s aces. We all know how strong FT’s aces are(i.e Natsu, Gray, Erza, Lucy, Laxus) Not by any means do I think Wendy is or should be as strong as a Spriggan, but she is deserving of fighting one, albeit with some help. Mashima has never really shown Wendy do anything SUPER amazing like defeating a Wizard Saint or anything. So of course people would think she’s weak. Wendy is not weak at all.

Gildarts is the last ft member missing, but don’t forget about s class Bacchus. Wild!!! This is not how I wanted it, but August might fight Gildarts. The other is a good matchup Jacob, the assassin, vs Bacchus, the martial artist. Truthfully Gildarts never really used his crash magic to beat Bluenote. All he did was send him flying from an uppercut. I really wanted Jellal and his team to be the ones to have faced August. Dimaria’s magic isn’t too different from Racer’s. Racer’s magic slows everything down within a certain distance, which was a huge radius. And it seems Dimaria has a more effective version of that. It was Gray and Lyon that worked together to beat Racer long ago. They should have been the ones to fight Dimaria due to experience with timing magic. Even even if Natsu gets up now, there are still two unknown spriggan, Zeref with no one between him and Fairy Tail, and Acnologia who is trying to kill all ds and will show up any time anywhere. Wendy is the only ds in the south, unless Crime Sorciere is with Jellal. Three up north and Natsu at the ft infirmary. Too much strong mages down south with 3 s class mages going after 1 spriggan and who knows why someone as strong as Gray is only fighting fodder. They better make quick work of Neinhart. Ice and wind mages should team up to outnumber Dimaria. Laxus was the most efficient soloing Wahl.

I still think that some things are a little too abrupt and can understand those who are very upset with the outgoing of this fight but I really like how we got the short talk between Mavis and Laxus. It shows that he still feels p bad for what happened and honestly, his chara development is one of the most amazing out of the entire series. Now the barrier thing makes more sense too. It cleary states that it is Freed’s spell so I either assume that Freed wrote it and showed Laxus how to activate it or Freed taught him this one particular spell in case the worst case would happen ( since Freed was one of the people who KNEW all along that Laxus was still sick ). It makes sense. So Laxus can’t really use Jutsu Shiki ( it also would have been to abrupt for him to write this circle in just a few finger motions since Jutsu Shiki barriers are not this quickly to write up and not handy for quick attacks ) but Freed must have told him how to activate it.
I love it because basically Freed saved his ass and like I mentioned in a previous post it also shows what kind of bond they have. Aka Laxus thanking Freed and saying that hardly any wizard can break his spells. So all in all I’m more satisfied than with just the spoilers. I can’t really imagine what will happen in the next chap, though? What do you think the title refers to?

Not that the Laxus vs wahl fight was particularly interesting but the implications of the fight was pretty clear. First, Laxus was fighting on par with wahl. Also, even though wahl said lightning won’t work him on, he also admitted that there’s a possibility of him getting defeated. That’s why he proceeded to enter full battle mode and completely divert all attention towards Laxus. Pretty interesting, we basically have wahl deciding that he can’t mess around with Laxus as an opponent and thus going into full battle mode. So Laxus is walking around without organs. Don’t even know how he’s alive. Such a shame for laxus’ body to be acting up. He certainly would’ve been a capable opponent. It does seem like he continues to fight either way. Red lightning should be an allusion to a new move or attack. I can certainly see Laxus eventually beating wahl. As for Dimaria vs Wendy vs Sherria, I honestly can’t see how the latter two will win. Erza and kagura are going to face neinhart. They have a good chance but I doubt it’d be enough. Kagura just doesn’t seem to be at a level high enough to support Erza and pull of the win.

Laxus better get a good fight, he hasn’t had one in a LONG time. I don’t want Laxus to steamroll Wahl, which judging by the picture in the spoilers, isn’t the case so I’m hyped for that. It’s still unclear what Wahl’s full capabilities are, it seems he’s obviously part Robot but aside from having freaking RPG’s on his arm, what else can he do? I swear this dudes about to call in an AC-130 XD. Judging from the panel it looks like Laxus is about to get hit with a beam, I’m like 90% sure he’s just going to tank it and continue fighting, although I wonder how long until his sickness kicks in? That’s going to be his downfall and my guess is Gray, Erza and others will save him at that point. Or, It would be even more interesting if Acnologia shows up, but I don’t want Laxus to die so I don’t want Acnologia to show up lol. There’s also still Neinhart who has yet to make an appearance, my guess is he’ll come unexpectedly, wreck Erza and Kagura, and then at that point Jellal comes in to save them, that would be epic. Seems like a good chapter, hopefully Laxus’s fight with Wahl goes on for a decent amount of time.

I see the whole Bluenote thing as more of a way to show how far Natsu has come in the space of a year more than anything else. Both Natsu and Wendy were pinned down by Bluenote’s Gravity Magic back on Tenrou, but fast-forward to their next encounter and you have Natsu who has reached the point in his strength where he can move freely under the effects of intense gravity.

By no means does this mean that Wendy can’t fight against a Spriggan, it just means that she isn’t at that level to be able to move under Bluenote’s gravity. You can say what you will about it, but we didn’t see Wendy exactly go all out when they saw Bluenote either. Its unknown if her Dragon Force could’ve allowed her to move or not, so there is the slim possibility she could’ve moved under Bluenote’s gravity with Dragon Force. Now, look at the current situation we have with Dimaria, Wendy and Sheria. It wasn’t stated that Wendy was in Dragon Force, so it could’ve just been a regular kick for all we know. We also haven’t seen Wendy reach the extremity of her Dragon Force after the timeskip like her Dragon Force vs Ezel, so she could well surprise us by using her full power in Dragon Force vs Dimaria. I don’t believe Wendy will be able to beat Dimaria alone, but Dragon Force could be a game-changer in what role she’d play in a fight against Dimaria. She’d possibly go from a support role to the main fighter, and have Sheria and Erza team up with her to beat Dimaria, and I think thats how things will turn out. But, my whole point in saying this is that we haven’t seen Wendy go full on serious since Tartarus, so there could well be some power she’d been hiding. If we remember what was said about the Dragons leaving power to the slayers via Dragon Soul magic, then Wendy could well have a mode equivalent to Natsu’s FDKM up her sleeve to use as well. So Wendy’s full capabilities are still very much unknown at that point apart from us now knowing she can activate Dragon Force at will.

I wonder about serena… can he really eat all the elements he has access to? If that is the case then he would be a virtually impossible enemy for fairy tail. He has a type of flame which means natsu would be entirely ineffective against him. He has a type of earth which means jura is technically unable to harm him. He would literally just drink jubia to death. I guess it would be interesting to see if a water dragon slayer can eat ice. Erza has anti element armor, all of which would be useless against him because he can simply switch elements. Wendy would not be helpful at all either. On the other hand he did not eat jura’s attacks so perhaps he actually can’t eat elements? Cobra did eat poison to strengthen himself so serena should be able to do that…

These new characters don’t have good fights because they were meant to be killed off. Serena seems to have been drawn up to demonstrate how much stronger Acnologia is. But people are getting so hyped up with the title of these new characters that they already believe they are the strongest, without having proven anything. A guy like Jura could be killed off because he doesn’t have enough fans. If Natsu dies many will be so pissed off that they will leave and maybe even boycott the manga. That’s why Mashima, like many others, don’t create good fights for characters made to be taken out, because there would be a high demand for that character. That’s also why Serena had a goofy weird behavior. So that no one gets attached to him too much.

WS at this stage doesn’t mean much. In the gmg Jura went up the ranks in ws, and had 7 years to train and power up, but even then gets beat by Laxus after the time skip. Jura was also ineffective against the oracion seis, yet Jellal gets revived escapes the seis and definitely had power to beat some of them in that arc. Considering how Jura is fourth strongest, imagine how much stronger Laxus is now. He might even be stronger than any ws. This is ft, not naruto where all kages are usually the strongest. Young powerful up and coming lions eventually take over the throne. No one complains of how strong Natsu is getting. In fact I don’t think he has surpassed Laxus yet, but probably will later on, way later. The only thing we know about Laxus since the one year, is that he stopped one of Ajeel’s attacks with a huge lightning explosion attack.
